How do we whiten teeth?

How do we whiten teeth?

1. Impressions are taken of the teeth

2. Models of the teeth are produced and a layer of blue composite is light cured onto the facial surfaces of the teeth on the models.

3. Customised trays are made to fit the modified models. The individual reservoirs are formed against the individual teeth.

4. Gel is applied and trays are worn over the teeth until you achieve the whiteness you are looking for.

Advantages of using trays with individual reservoirs are:

  1. We can limit the gel application, to achieve maximum effect and avoid wastage.
  2. Where individual teeth are very dark, the gel can be limited to these teeth only.
  3. It Future proofs the treatment. Should some teeth fade in the future, these can be whitened up again individually to match, without another trip to the dentist.
